The Danger Of Relying On Conversion Benchmarks
In a recent conversation I had with the E-consultancy crew at one of their roundtables we got into a great debate about the point of conversion benchmarks. Ashley started a thread about it on their website which was interesting. Equally interesting is Matt Belkin of Omniture’s view on it which can be seen here.
My view remains that the only benchmarks you can rely on are internally driven benchmarks. By improving what you do yourself you will only get better.
