5 ways to get amazing search visibility through Google.
Continuing what I have been mumbling for three days in a roll now. While MSN Beta and Yahoo! Search Marketing are trying to challenge the Google hegemony (meaning the ultimate power over others), The big G itself is providing an excellent package of visibility only through its search facilities.
1. If you are listed in the NYSE you will have visibility with your NYSE index. See examples: type into google one of the following keywords: wssi, seo, itw.
2. Extra links below the normal organic search result. See “hookah“.
3. Listing in SERP (Search Engine Result Pages). Organic search visibility that can be optimized with search engine optimization.
4. Paid Image and text ads on the right hand side on Google. Also known as Pay-Per-Click ads.
5. Pay-Per-Call visibility (Only in USA at the moment I guess.). There is pretty good article about Pay-Per-Call and conversion at Search Engine Watch.
These kind of new features are trying to take the browser closer to the service or product provider. They will definitely result in a better conversion compared to a solution that provides only organic results. Let’s put our minds to that imaginary world mode for a while. Let’s say you were at home downlodaing a film that you just bought (or stole through eMule…). You are thinking, right so while I am downloading the movie, I’d like to get something eat as well. Then again, I can’t be arsed to do anything nor go out to get something because it takes a while to go to Al’s Local Pizza Palace. I don’t want to pay for phone call either, so maybe I should just try to find a local pizzeria from online.

5. Avoid Link Farms: Avoid sites which offer thousands of links instantly by placing a folder on your site. This is one of the worst methods of getting linkbacks. While submitting to directories, have a close look at the PR and the quality of the backlink.
6. Make use of all tags in your pages like title, description, keywords, header 1, header 2, alt of images by focusing on 10 main keywords for optimization.
7. Install a sitemap script for your website if it has thousands of pages and set a cron to update it daily if you wish search engine’s to crawl your site regualarly. You can find many such scripts on the internet today.
8. The more your websites content is unique the more chances are that it will rank at the top. So place your website content with some unbelivable words like for example - thought provoking content.
