It’s Official, Yahoo Gives Away IndexTools Enterprise version 9 for free.

As I eluded on the 10th April Dennis Mortensen kindly confirmed it today.

IndexTools is now free under the Yahoo banner. Cool!

Dennis comments on his site;

Today we will communicate that we¢‚¬„¢ll require our partners and clients to accept a new standard Yahoo! agreement and that Yahoo! (we) currently intends to provide the service FREE of charge to clients and partners who accept the Yahoo! Agreement. It is however important to note that our clients and partners must accept this agreement to continue using the service.

So there you have it. Is Rubix next? I think it may be, maybe as a module of a full launch after IndexTools and Yahoo have scaled up. But I have the feeling that Yahoo are really going to push the boat out.

Oh yeah? I look forward to us laymen being able to use it!!

He doesn’t EXACTLY state which version of IndexTools it is they are giving away.

My guess is that it’ll be the e-business edition, and NOT the Enterprise edition as your title states.

@SorenÂÂ

O ye of little faith. :)

My guess is it IS the Enterprise version.

Not just because Dennis writes;
“I think this is a fair tradeoff for an Enterprise class Web Analytics system?”

But also because I know Dennis well, we go back years and have met at various events around the world. I won’t say what he’s asked me not to say, but i can mention that it’s the most excited I’ve seen/heard him in a long time.
